“Rest when you’re weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit.
Then get back to work.” —Ralph Marston

Fall is a busy season:

Work and school schedules are in full-swing, parenting, activism and maybe campaign work in this election year. And soon the holidays arrive. After all your hard work and before the holiday madness begins—

consider taking a weekend for yourself.

You’re invited to a contemplative re-centering retreat: up north in Omena, Michigan, on the beautiful Leelenau Peninsula, November 8-11. Discover contemplative practices: through nature, silence, poetry, as well as breathing and body exercises. Some practices will happen with our small retreat community, others you’ll be invited to practice on your own. There will be opportunity for quiet reading, journaling and reflection as well. Pastor and retreat leader Bryan Berghoef will guide our time together, and you’ll have opportunity to opt in or out of as much of the schedule as you wish.

We’ll gather in a large, beautiful home with views of Omena Bay, a top-rate kitchen and multiple fire places. There are trails for hiking, a beach for walking, and many ways to refresh yourself. Get a glimpse of some of the beauty in our photo gallery here.
